Admittedly, when One For All got in touch with us to announce
a new universal remote control, we didn't quite fall over
with shock. We were fools: the Kameleon is an amazing, futuristic
device that bowled us over when we saw it. The combination
of the slim, aluminium body and glowing blue electro-luminous
display is captivating. Each of the function keys for the
six devices the remote can handle is subtledly animated when
selected, and only the relevant controls glow. Put down the
remote for a few seconds and it fades out; pick it up again
and it reactivates. Glorious... and it's only £70. Of course,
it comes with One For All's fabled ability to operate nearly
any AV device on the planet, with updates possible by modem
or internet.
